This isn't completely necessary though, because when you get the Perimeter Defense upgrade for the Seatruck, they're not even a nuisance. If killed by a player, a Leviathan will not respawn. Is there really any point in killing the Leviathans in Below Zero? Yes.

The full release of Below Zero is not expected for another year, roughly, but is still available for purchase on Steam while it’s in Early Access.No matter how terrifying the Leviathans in Subnautica: Below Zero might be, at some point you've got to stop being scared and take the fight to them. Though it isn’t specified as to why it’s there. It has black sand beaches, thermal pools, and on the very top is the launchpad. The last thing to be added is the Cargo Transfer Launchpad island. It’s best if players stayed away from this guy. They’ll wrap whatever is near them and attack them with some very sharp mandibles. Squidsharks find their homes in the Deep Twisty Bridges where they’re an apex predator and will attack anything that comes close.
They will take it back to their nests, but it’s clear that you can steal back what’s rightfully yours, and maybe some other trinkets. While friendly, they are tricky, as they will actively seek you out to steal your hard earned tools. There also comes a new friendly creature known as the Seamonkey. Thermal Spires, similarly, brings a home to the Rockpunchers and Bonesharks. Deep Twisty Bridges can exceed 200 meters and some of its fauna is quite deadly, so player beware.

In addition to the Sea Truck and its modules, the new update brings in two new biomes known as Deep Twisty Bridges and Thermal Spires. Hugh Jeremy, one of the Unknown World’s developers, explains how the Sea Truck and its modules work with some more explanation: It also come with a neat little rearview camera when you’re back up.
These can all attach to each other and then proceed to attach to the cockpit cab module. Currently the three modules are a Storage Module, a Mobile Fabricator Module, and an Aquarium Module. That’s right, this truck adds on different modules that each have their own special type of use.
The Sea Truck is built at the Mobile Vehicle Bay and can currently hold up to 3 additional modules. The first thing this update adds, is of course the title of the update, the Sea Truck. One that was teased was a new vehicle called the “Sea Truck.” And while it’s beyond the original 4 weeks that was planned, the update finally came: Kalina, in the live stream that had launched Subnautica: Below Zero, talked about how there was a flowchart that showed off what would be heading into the next few updates. There were some familiar mechanics, as well as some new ones, and a bunch of interviews with other people on the Unknown World’s team, including Production Lead David Kalina. There was the livestream that showed off the new world and some of the story line with Robin as the lead. Since Subnautica: Below Zero announced its launch, there’s been a whole lot of hype surrounding it.
